Professional Diploma in Employment and Services Laws – (PIM, Karachi)

INTRODUCTION

This Diploma in Employment & Employment Laws will
equip, Civil Servants/ Public Servants/ Employees in Corporation/Autonomous Bodies/Private Sector, HR/IR managers, operational managers and HR/IR professionals and practitioners with all the necessary tools and techniques for developing a better understanding of administrative & employment laws and its applicability at the work place, its need, and implications along with all legal remedies to tackle the issues related with administrative & employment laws.

OBJECTIVES

• To study the Scope and study of the administrative laws.
• To study the rule of law, doctrine of separation of powers.
• To study the scope of delegated legislation in Pakistan.
• To study the scope of administrative directions and adjudication.
• To study the history and rules of business of the civil service structure in Pakistan
• To study the concept of Natural Justice and its implementation in Pakistan.
• To study the scope of writ jurisdiction and the powers of administrative tribunals, High Court and Supreme Court of Pakistan
• To study the employment laws, examine and evaluate its execution in Pakistan
• To review the laws and regulations related to employment laws and look for areas to make more relevance to current conditions.
• To identify gaps in compliance of the employments laws.
• To learn the various models of employment provided in the statue of leading organizations.
• To learn the constitutional remedies available for the civil servants and public servants.
• To learn the various remedies available on different judicial/quasi-judicial forums for the employees.
• Applicability of Industrial Relation Ordinance along with dispute resolution with Trade Unions.
• Important Judgments of Apex Courts on Civil Service/Public Service/ Master and Servant and Labor Laws.

PROGRAM CONTENTS

• Administrative & Employment concepts and evolution of employment.
• Various modes of employments under the laws of Pakistan.
• Rules and Regulation which governs various employments including civil service laws.
• Laws and practice of Industrial Relations ordinance.
• Hands on knowledge of various legal provisions provided in Constitution of Pakistan, statues of organizations, Judgments of the Apex Courts.
• Hands on Knowledge of various legal issues in contractual employment/ employment in private sector. Detail discussion on the protection of employment in private sector.
• Welfare of the employees and its legal provisions.

PROGRAM DURATION/DAYS

The program is of three-month duration. Classes will be on Saturday (10:00 am to 04:00 pm).
