PROGRAM DESCRIPTION (Supply Chain Management)

Traditionally, firms view themselves as a separate entity maintaining functional relationship with their customers and suppliers and they do not consider either their supplier or customers to become    partners. Supply chain management has channelized this functional linkage among them.  This four months diploma program will examine various activities involved in supply chain sequence, from procurement to inventory and warehousing management, right through to forecasting, transportation, financial and packaging management. This course will further instill and impart applied knowledge regarding holistic cycle of integrating these activities well within the business processes.

CSCP is awarded by APICS-USA (www.apics.org/cscp) and is the gold standard in the field of supply chain management. Companies all around the world prefer to have CSCP qualified professionals for supply chain related jobs. CSCP is becoming a must in most of the large companies of Pakistan too. The body of knowledge covers end-to-end supply chain, all the processes right from origin/extraction till consumption. Demonstrate your mastery of supply chain management best practices by obtaining your APICS CSCP designation.

PROGRAM CONTENTS (Supply Chain Management)

The participants of the course will be able to strengthen their knowledge base to manage the shift from individual functions to integrating activities into key supply chain processes. The program of studies will provide knowledge that can be utilized all type of work  environments. It will also provide foundation for further study leading to National/International certification, readings, and homework; three hourly examinations; a final examination; and presentations on case studies etc.

• An Overview on SCOR ( Supply Chain Operations Reference).

To earn your CSCP designation, you must pass one exam covering eight modules. Each module reflects critical areas in supply chain management.

❖ Module 3 – Sourcing Products and Inventory
❖ Module 4 – Internal Operations and Logistics
❖ Module 5 – Forward and Reverse Logistics
❖ Module 6 – Supply Chain Relationships
❖ Module 7 – Supply Chain Risk
❖ Module 8 – Optimization, Sustainability, and Technology.
