PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) is a comprehensive approach focused on the critical developmental period from birth to age eight. This training course explores the essential principles and practices that support young children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth. This course aims to grasp the basic stages of child development and effectively apply this information in real-life scenarios to improve teaching methods and curriculum design. An essential part of this course is providing students with the opportunity to improve their ability in developing appropriate curriculum. As students gain a better understanding of young children, they will integrate this knowledge into their curriculum planning. The course sessions will provide students.

This program incorporates both theoretical classes and hands-on practice sessions. This involves altering the way experts operate in order for their expertise to have a significant influence on the latest educational methods.

AIMS

• To recognize characteristics of a competent preschool educator and effective preschool curriculum. 

• To establish an understanding of child growth, characteristics of young children, and practices suitable for their development. To acquire expertise in curriculum designing and lesson planning. 

• To demonstrate understanding of the historical foundations of early childhood education and how they influence present-day approaches in the field. 

• To show the skill of recognizing methods for observing, screening, and evaluating different early childhood programs. Demonstrate proficiency in observing diverse programs, synthesizing information, and assessing data regarding the impact of cultural, linguistic, and ability variations.

PROGRAM DURATION/DAYS

Classes will be conducted twice a week (Thursday/Friday) in the evening from 6.00pm to 9.00pm.
